Back in 2021, as I was finishing my undergraduate studies, I had to take my cinematography exam by making a short film. But since I had no experience in filmmaking—where, unlike photography, things move and people talk—I ended up creating something that felt more like a music video, made up entirely of (static) images and sound. Abusing my cousin @sofbrsll and the Crown soundtrack, which I was obsessed back then. Looking back now, I can’t help but feel a mix of fondness and realization: in the end, this is still how I experience and see cinema—a blend of images and music.
